all of you who helped with and participated last year at the

UH-Hilo Student Life Center. As an event solely run

by volunteers, your involvement was critical to its success!

We are looking at a good turnout with 12 different schools participating
ranging from elementary to college.  For the first time, there will be UH-Hilo
team who are currently working on their ROV in preparation to go to Texas to
compete in MATE's International competition.

This year's them is centered around BPs oil spill in the gulf and how ROV's
played a vital role in correcting the problem.

For the past few months, these students have been hard at work designing,
engineering and fabricating their craft to accomplish specific mission tasks.
They have also prepared a technical document and poster displays.  Please
take the time to talk with these students and see what they've been doing.

There will be live video feeds to large screen TVs for audience viewing as
well as live webcast.
